Aircraft Advent Calendar 2026 24 Days of Unique Toy Airplanes

Not a Chocolate Box, a Hangar

Open one door of this calendar and instead of a square of chocolate, you’ll find a miniature airplane — a different one every day for 24 days, from commercial jets to biplanes to a fighter jet. This is not apparel, and the format swaps a standard fit or fabric breakdown for something more relevant to a collectible: what’s actually behind each door and how the pieces hold up as a set.

Where Counting Down to Christmas Came From

Advent calendars trace back to German Protestant families in the mid-1800s, who marked the days leading to Christmas with chalk hash marks on a door or wall before the tradition evolved into printed calendars with small paper windows. What started as a religious countdown tied to the four Sundays before Christmas eventually shifted into something more secular and collectible — chocolate started showing up behind the doors by the 1950s, and in the decades since, the format has been adapted for nearly anything a company can fit into 24 small compartments. This aircraft advent calendar sits squarely in that modern tradition: same daily-reveal structure, a full model-airplane collection standing in for the chocolate.

Twenty-Four Different Machines

The lineup spans a genuinely wide range of aviation rather than repeating one plane in different colors — commercial airliners, a needle-nosed supersonic jet, a Navy fighter with a blue-and-yellow tail, a red-and-yellow amphibious firefighting plane, vintage yellow and orange biplanes, propeller-driven trainers, a gray military cargo plane, and a radar-dish-equipped surveillance aircraft all appear across the set. That spread means the calendar reads less like a single toy multiplied 24 times and more like a genuine aviation cross-section, useful for anyone who actually cares about telling a biplane apart from a turboprop.

Display and Everyday Handling

This falls under JULIEDIARY’s confirmed advent calendar spec: a sturdy printed box housing 24 individually sealed compartments, each opened once per day through December. The planes themselves are high-quality die-cast-style miniatures sized for shelf display once the countdown ends, small enough to line up on a windowsill or desk without needing much space. Because each one opens as a separate daily reveal, it works well split across a household — kids opening the earlier numbers, an adult aviation fan saving the rarer-looking models for a weekend reveal.

Key Details

The calendar houses 24 individually sealed doors, each revealing a different miniature aircraft ranging from commercial jets and a supersonic airliner to a fighter jet, a firefighting seaplane, vintage biplanes, and military cargo and surveillance planes. It follows JULIEDIARY’s confirmed advent calendar construction, with a printed display box and high-quality, individually sized model planes meant for shelf display after the countdown ends.
