Joji Slow Dancing In The Dark Solaris Tour T-Shirt

A Cigarette, a Torn Jacket, and a Frame That Won’t Let Go

The front graphic freezes George Miller mid-exhale, jacket half-slipped off one shoulder, cigarette pinched between two fingers, the words “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK” stacked above him like a caption on a photograph nobody was supposed to keep. His signature loops beneath the frame in looping script, and on the back, a small compass-star mark sits above “SOLARIS TOUR 2026” in a tight serif — quiet enough that most people won’t clock it until they’re already close.

The Song Behind the Shirt

SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK turned into the second single off Joji’s 2018 debut, BALLADS 1, and it’s stayed the emotional center of his catalog ever since — a platinum-certified confession about being someone’s second choice and staying anyway. Joji has described the writing process simply, as an attempt to capture someone calling out to another person not to waste their time, not to stay lukewarm. The metaphor does the heavy lifting: two people moving together in the dark, close enough to touch, too blind to actually see each other. The music video pushed that idea further, recasting Joji as a satyr bleeding out from an arrow in his back, mid-collapse on a lit dance floor — the same haunted, half-lost image the shirt’s front panel borrows from.

Solaris Tour 2026

The back print marks the Solaris Tour, the arena run built around Joji’s fourth album and staged as an immersive expansion of his live show rather than a straightforward greatest-hits set. Dates stretch from a June kickoff in Newark across North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania into late November, with Slow Dancing in the Dark holding its place in the setlist alongside newer material — a reminder that the song that first defined him still anchors the show eight years later.

Fit, Feel, and How to Wear It

Cut with a boxy, dropped-shoulder silhouette in soft, high-quality cotton, this tee sits somewhere between a vintage band shirt and a streetwear staple — meant to be worn oversized rather than fitted. Layer it under an open flannel or a bomber jacket for cooler nights before or after the show, or keep it simple with straight-leg denim and low-top sneakers for a look that reads more record-collection than merch-table. The weight holds up to regular wear without feeling stiff, and the print sits flat enough to layer a chain or pendant over without distortion.

Key Details

This is a Joji Solaris Tour merch piece built around the Slow Dancing in the Dark artwork, sold exclusively in white. The front carries the smoking-jacket photo treatment with Joji’s signature beneath it, while the back keeps the tour branding minimal — just the compass mark and “SOLARIS TOUR 2026” between the shoulder blades. It’s made from high-quality cotton in a relaxed, oversized fit designed to be worn loose, and it comes in one colorway only, so what you see pictured is exactly what ships. Best suited to fans who want the shirt to double as everyday streetwear long after the tour dates pass, not just a one-night event tee.
