Winnie the Pooh 100th Anniversary Advent Calendar

🍯 A Century in the Hundred Acre Wood

Holly, snowflakes, and a Santa-hatted bear clutching his honey pot decorate the cover of this Winnie the Pooh advent calendar, marking a century since a certain bear first got his name. Rather than one box unwrapped on a single morning, this set spreads 24 small figures across a full month, each standing on its own numbered display base so the whole collection can be lined up once December ends.

📖 From a Real Teddy Bear to a Hundred Years of Stories

The character behind this calendar started as an actual toy: a teddy bear given to a one-year-old named Christopher Robin Milne in 1921, later renamed after a black bear at the London Zoo and a swan Christopher Robin had grown fond of. The name first appeared in print on Christmas Eve of 1925, in a short story published in a London newspaper, before the full book arrived the following year, illustrated with the soft, warm linework that’s defined the character ever since. Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger, all pulled from the same nursery of real stuffed toys and imagined friends, round out the cast alongside the bear at the center of it. This calendar’s numbered figures nod to that century-long stretch, dressing the familiar cast in Christmas sweaters, Santa hats, and holiday props rather than their usual Hundred Acre Wood attire.

🎁 What Stands Behind Each Number

As a Hundred Acre Wood figurine set rather than apparel, there’s no sizing or fabric involved — each of the 24 numbered spots instead holds a small painted figure on a wooden-look base, styled for a shelf, mantel, or windowsill rather than for handling or play. Expect the core four characters repeated in different holiday outfits and poses across the set, along with a few extra pieces like a gingerbread man and a sleigh scene mixed in toward the end of the countdown.

🎄 A Gift for Every Age

This calendar suits a lifelong reader who grew up with the stories as much as it does a child just meeting the characters for the first time. The individually based figures also make it easy to keep favorites out on display well past the holiday season.
