Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Advent Calendar 2026

⚔️ Forty Years Since Link First Woke Up in Hyrule

Gold Triforce charms and an arched window revealing Hyrule Castle mark the cover of this Legend of Zelda advent calendar, dated “1986–2026” for the four decades since a green-clad hero first set out to rescue a kidnapped princess. Instead of a single gift, 24 small figures and props fill the calendar’s compartments, tracing the series across its many eras rather than sticking to one game.

🗡️ From a Kyoto Childhood to a Four-Decade Legend

The original Legend of Zelda launched in Japan on February 21, 1986, built by designer Shigeru Miyamoto around memories of exploring the forests and caves near his hometown as a kid. That sense of open exploration became the series’ defining trait, and much of what it introduced — the Triforce, heart containers, bombs, boomerangs, and the core trio of Link, Zelda, and the villain Ganon — has carried through nearly every entry since. Even the princess’s name has a real-world origin: Miyamoto borrowed it from Zelda Fitzgerald, wife of the novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald, simply because he liked the sound of it. This calendar’s figures pull from across that whole span, mixing early pixel-era character designs with more recent takes on Link, Zelda, and the series’ wider cast of allies and monsters.

🛡️ What’s Behind Each Door

As a Legend of Zelda figure collectible set rather than clothing, there’s no sizing or fabric involved — each compartment instead holds a small figure or prop replica, from sword and shield pieces to a mini ocarina, a Triforce charm, and smaller companion and creature figures pulled from throughout the franchise’s history.

🎄 A Gift for the Lifelong Player

This calendar suits a fan who’s played the series across multiple console generations and wants a small daily piece of that history through December. Since each item stands or hangs on its own, the set also works well displayed afterward on a shelf.

🏰 Key Details

This 40th anniversary gaming collectible ships as a boxed 24-day countdown containing individually detailed character figures and iconic prop replicas spanning the franchise’s history, finished in high-quality detail for shelf or hanging display; keep pieces out of direct sunlight and dust with a dry cloth to protect painted finishes between seasons.
