Texas A&M Aggies Honor and Support Camo Hoodie & Tee
A Uniform That Started on Campus, Not in a Design Studio
The khaki-and-olive camo pattern running across this set isn’t a stock military print pulled off a shelf — it’s built to match the actual uniforms worn by Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets, the student military organization that’s been part of the university since the day it opened. That connection is the whole point of the Texas A&M camo hoodie: it’s translating a piece of campus history into something wearable off the field.
Ninety-Nine Years of Wearing Khaki
Texas A&M opened its doors in 1876 with forty students, six faculty members, and a requirement baked into the school from day one — every student served in the Corps of Cadets. That military structure never faded out the way it did at most other land-grant schools; the Corps is still active on campus today, and its khaki uniform is instantly recognizable to anyone who’s spent time in College Station. When the football program built its alternate look for the October 3, 2026 game against Arkansas, marking the university’s 150th anniversary, the design team pulled the desert-camo palette straight from those Corps khakis rather than a generic military catalog, then layered in the dried grassland and rolling-hill tones of Aggieland itself. Team captain and military-family member Marcus Ratcliffe, who runs a nonprofit initiative sending veterans back to Normandy, was the natural choice to front the uniform reveal.
Reading the Details
The back graphic centers on a circular crest reading “Gig ‘Em Aggies,” ringed with a star and laurel leaf pulled directly from the Aggie Ring students earn after completing their coursework — a detail that shows up on the actual uniform’s shoulder patch too. “Est. 1876” and “BTHO” (Beat The Hell Out, standard Aggie shorthand for any opponent) round out the crest, while the front keeps things simpler: the block “Texas A&M” wordmark in maroon over the state-outline logo. A small Texas flag patch sits between the sleeve seams on both pieces, a nod to the flag detail carried on the original football uniform’s shoulder.
Fit Across the Set
Tee
The tee runs a standard crew-neck cut in a lightweight cotton blend, built for regular wear rather than game-day-only use — true to size, with enough drape to layer under a jacket once the weather turns.
Hoodie
The hoodie carries the same camo print across a heavier fleece body with a drawstring hood and front pouch pocket, cut with a slightly roomier fit through the shoulders for layering over a t-shirt. No official spec sheet is confirmed yet for hoodies as a category, so treat the fabric weight and blend as a general expectation rather than a locked fact.
Both pieces pair easily with plain maroon or white bottoms to keep the camo as the visual anchor, and the matching cap shown alongside them completes the look for anyone heading to a tailgate rather than the stadium itself.
Key Details
The set pairs a tee and a hoodie in the same desert-camo print, each carrying the “Texas A&M” wordmark and state-outline logo on the front and the “Gig ‘Em Aggies” crest with star, laurel leaf, and “BTHO” banner on the back, alongside a small Texas flag patch at the sleeve. The tee runs a lightweight cotton-blend crew cut true to size, while the hoodie adds a heavier fleece body with a drawstring hood, sized slightly roomier for layering. Both pieces are high-quality, with hoodie fabric weight treated as a general expectation since no official spec is confirmed for that category yet.
