Dolly Parton The Queen of Country x Tennessee Football Hoodie/Tee/Sweatshirt
One Print, Three Ways to Wear It
Front and back share the same idea across all three pieces: a line-art portrait of Dolly Parton in a wide cowboy hat above the “DOLLY PARTON” wordmark, her signature and a small butterfly beneath it, next to a Tennessee “T.” The back carries the fuller graphic — “DOLLY PARTON” arched over a football laced into a Tennessee helmet, a monarch butterfly beside it, and the line “Raised on Dolly and Tennessee Football” banked underneath. All three garments come in Tennessee orange, no other colorway.
Two Tennessee Traditions, One Household Name
Parton was born and raised in East Tennessee, and “Rocky Top” — the Bryant-written song that doubles as both the state song and the Volunteers’ fight song — sat in her live sets for decades before she brought it back to Neyland Stadium in November 2023, walked onto the field by Peyton Manning to lead the crowd through it herself. That appearance came alongside a Vols-branded edition of her album Rockstar and an official merchandise partnership, cementing a connection between Parton and Tennessee football that had already run through commencement speeches, campus tour stops, and a 2015 marching band tribute in her honor. The Dolly Parton Tennessee football hoodie and its matching pieces pull directly from that history rather than pairing her name with the team as a stretch.
Why “Thank You, Dolly” Sits Above the Design
The header line running across the product image nods to the wave of tributes that followed her death this past week, closing out a run that included eleven Grammys, decades of chart-topping records, and a lasting bond with the state she never stopped calling home. Tennessee’s athletic department and Manning both released public statements marking her passing, and requests for a butterfly tribute on the team’s helmets have circulated since — the same symbol printed on the back of each of these garments.
How Each Piece Fits
The Tennessee football t-shirt runs a standard, slightly relaxed crew fit in soft, high-quality cotton, easy to wear on its own for gameday or layered under a jacket once temperatures drop. The hoodie adds a drawstring hood and a front kangaroo pocket over a fleece-lined build — expect a roomier, boxier cut through the body, though exact weight and fabric blend aren’t yet confirmed, so anyone between sizes should size down for a snugger fit. The crewneck sweatshirt splits the difference: no hood, ribbed cuffs and hem, and a straight, slightly looser silhouette meant for layering over a collared shirt on cooler fall Saturdays.
Key Details
This three-piece Dolly Parton Tennessee collection — t-shirt, hoodie, and crewneck sweatshirt — shares one orange design built around her line-art portrait, signature, and the Tennessee football graphic on the back. The t-shirt’s high-quality cotton build is confirmed; hoodie and sweatshirt materials follow standard fleece construction but haven’t been fully specified, so expect some variance in weight between the three. All three are made for fans marking Parton’s roots in Tennessee and her long-running tie to Volunteers football, worn as everyday layers rather than single-game merchandise.
